Friend Flex

Friend Flex Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 25, 2026

This policy covers the Friend Flex iPhone app and its iMessage app (together, "Friend Flex", previously called Fun100). Friend Flex is a fitness challenge app for small groups of friends. It describes what Friend Flex stores, where it is stored, and who can see it.

Who we are#

Friend Flex is developed by Sean Wade ("we", "us"). Friend Flex is not part of PulsHealth: it is a separate app by the same developer, and this policy is published on the pulshealth.com website only for that reason. The PulsHealth privacy policy does not apply to Friend Flex, and this one does not apply to PulsHealth.

Questions about this policy or your data: support@pulshealth.com.

What Friend Flex stores, and where#

Friend Flex has no servers of its own. Everything the app saves is stored in the app's CloudKit public database, which Apple runs as part of iCloud. There is no separate Friend Flex server, and the developer does not operate any server for Friend Flex.

In that database you are identified by an anonymous iCloud user record ID. Friend Flex never sees your Apple ID, your email address or your phone number.

Friend Flex stores:

  • Your profile: the display name and emoji you choose.
  • Challenges you create or join: the challenge's name, dates, settings, house rules and its invite code.
  • Results you log: results for the fitness, body-measurement or custom categories selected for your challenge, each with its date and an optional note.
  • A fitness summary built from the results you have logged, such as your best mile and your weight trend.

Who can see it#

  • People in your challenges. Your profile, your logged results and your fitness summary are visible to the people in the challenges you join.
  • Anyone with a challenge's invite code. A challenge's details are visible to anyone who has its invite code.
  • Other Friend Flex users, technically. Because this is a public database shared by everyone who uses the app, other Friend Flex users could technically access these records, including people who are not in your challenges. Please don't enter anything in Friend Flex, including in names and notes, that you want kept private.
  • People in your Messages conversations. Messages you send with the Friend Flex iMessage app (for example an invite, a leaderboard or a result you just logged) are delivered by Apple's Messages to everyone in that conversation, like any other message, and include the challenge's invite code.

Apple Health (optional)#

Connecting Apple Health is optional. Friend Flex works without it.

If you connect it, Friend Flex reads your weight, body-fat percentage, waist circumference, workouts (runs and rides, including distance over time), cardio fitness (VO₂ max), resting heart rate and step counts. That data stays on your iPhone. Friend Flex uses it to:

  • show stats on your own Fitness page, and
  • offer one-tap logging of a new weigh-in, body measurement or a fast run or ride.

Nothing from Apple Health is uploaded unless you tap to log a specific result. When you do, only that result (for example the weight or the mile time) is saved, exactly like any other result you log, and it is visible as described under Who can see it.

Friend Flex never writes to Apple Health. Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties or data brokers.

Notifications#

Friend Flex's reminders and alerts are local notifications, scheduled on your device.

What we don't do#

  • No advertising.
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs.
  • No sharing of your data with third parties.
  • No selling of your data.
  • No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.

Deleting your data#

  • In the app: Settings → Delete My Data deletes your profile, your logged results and your fitness summary, and removes you from all challenges. Challenges you created remain for their other members; email support@pulshealth.com if you want one removed.
  • Apple Health: you can disconnect Friend Flex from Apple Health at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Anything else: email support@pulshealth.com.

Children#

Friend Flex is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy#

When this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
