Find answers to common questions about PulsHealth
What health data can I export?
PulsHealth can export over 100 health data types from Apple HealthKit, including activity data (steps, workouts, distance), body measurements (weight, BMI), heart health metrics (heart rate, blood pressure, HRV), sleep data, nutrition, respiratory metrics, and much more. You can select exactly which data types you want to include in each export.
What export formats are available?
PulsHealth supports three export formats: JSON (great for developers and data analysis tools), CSV (perfect for spreadsheets like Excel or Google Sheets), and Protocol Buffers (efficient binary format for research and backend systems). Choose the format that best fits your needs.
Is my health data secure?
Absolutely. All data processing happens entirely on your device. We don't have servers that store your health data. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to share the exported file. We can't see, access, or sell your data because we never have it.
How does the QR code feature work?
Healthcare providers or researchers can generate QR codes that specify which health data types they need. When you scan the QR code with PulsHealth, it pre-selects the requested data types for easy export. This makes sharing specific health information simple and secure.
Is PulsHealth really free?
Yes! PulsHealth is 100% free. All features are included: unlimited exports, all 100+ health data types, all export formats (JSON, CSV, Protocol Buffers), QR code functionality, and complete export history. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no hidden costs.
Why isn't all my health data showing up?
PulsHealth can only access data that's stored in Apple HealthKit. Make sure you've granted PulsHealth permission to read the data types you want to export (Settings > Privacy > Health > PulsHealth). Also, some data may only be available if you have devices or apps that record it.
What are aggregation options?
When exporting, you can choose how to aggregate your data: Raw (all individual data points), or aggregated by Day, Week, Month, or Year. For aggregated exports, you can apply Sum, Average, Min, Max, or Median calculations. This helps reduce file size and makes analysis easier.
Can I use this data for medical decisions?
PulsHealth is a data export tool, not a medical device. The data accuracy depends on the devices and apps that originally recorded it in HealthKit. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making any medical decisions based on this data.
